3. ES-SDA, THE EUROPEAN SOLAR SHADING DATABASE
ES-SDA stands for the European Solar Shading Database which has been developed since 2016 by ES-SO. ES-SDA is a database with validated and peer reviewed performance shading data meeting the European funded Qualicheck Project criteria. It has become a best practice for the building industry on ensuring data is accurate, verified and robust. 4. ES-SO ESBO: RELIABLE, ACCURATE AND EASY SIMULATION WITH ESBO (EARLY STAGE BUILDING OPTIMIZATION)
In most countries cost of energy is increasing. More and more new buildings are overheating and the use of energy to cool the indoor environment is increasing dramatically. Inaccurate modelling is a major cause of overheating with detrimental effects on people ’s comfort, health and well-being. ESBO is the first simulation software fully endorsed by ES-SO and based on the calculation engine in IDA ICE - the market leading tool for simulation of energy and indoor climate in Northern Europe. With ES-SO ESBO the use of dynamic solar shading can be simulated to ISO Standards.
The program is available in two versions: ES-SO ESBO Light, which is FREE to download and use, or ES-SO ESBO which is the full version of the software and comes at cost.
