As from 2018 the ES-SO Academy offers training programs for the staff of ES-SO member companies to become either smart solar shading advisor or smart solar shading expert.

The ES-SO Academy training program is a new initiative starting in 2018 with two main training courses addressed to different groups of solar shading professionals.

SMART SOLAR SHADING ADVISOR

Retail solar shading companies have direct contact with consumers searching for the right smart solar shading solution in their homes. To explain in an effective way the benefits of Smart Solar Shading a day training program has been designed based on the residential subdivision of the Smart Solar Shading campaign website. Participants having followed this course concluded with a test receive a certificate issued by ES-SO in collaboration with its national member association.

SMART SOLAR SHADING EXPERT

Companies manufacturing Smart Solar Shading and/or doing projects directly for the market need to have their staff trained with a deeper insight in the added value of the different Smart Solar Shading solutions and their interaction with other technologies such as glass and HVAC in buildings. Experts have to come up with the best solution for a given project and are able to demonstrate the Smart Solar Shading benefits in building modelling. The ES-SO Smart Solar Shading expert level entails two full days of training courses. Trainees with successful completion of the final written exam receive the ES-SO Smart Solar Shading expert certificate in collaboration with the national member association.
