Founded at COP21, hosted by the United Nations Environment Programme and with 280 members, including 38 countries, the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction(GlobalABC) is the leading global platform for all buildings stakeholders committed to a common vision: a zero-emission, efficient and resilient buildings and construction sector. Since 2023, ES-SO is a member of UN Global ABC.
The goal is that every student of architecture from anywhere in the world can get free feedback on their school project from an international community of academics, architects, theorists and specialists. Inspireli has created the largest student competition on the planet INSPIRELI AWARDS to encourage young talent. Since 2017, ES-SO joined EUFORES, the European Forum for Renewable Energy Sources, a European parliamentary network founded in 1995 as an independent non-profit organisation to promote renewable energy sources and energy efficiency in the European Union.

R+T Messe Stuttgart is the leading world trade fair on solar shading solutions. Every three years it provides the opportunity for exchanging ideas and opinions with colleagues and is the ideal platform for intensive specialist discussions. REHVA is the Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Associations founded in 1963. REHVA represents more than 100.000 engineers across 26 European Countries. REHVA's mission is to develop and disseminate economical, energy efficient, safe and healthy technology for mechanical services of building
Since 2009 BUILD UP has been the largest portal and principal reference point for energy efficiency and renewable energy in the building and construction sector in Europe. It is a web portal for building professionals, local authorities and building occupants to share their experience in reducing energy consumption in buildings. The key aim of this initiative is to reduce the energy consumption of buildings across Europe by transferring best practices to the market and fostering their uptake.
Active House Alliance
ES-SO has been a member of Active House since 2013. Active House has endorsed the ES-SO Position Paper.
Active House is a vision of buildings that create healthier and more comfortable lives for their occupants without negative impact on the climate - moving us towards a cleaner, healthier and safer world. Active House is a non-profit organisation supported and managed by a group of Alliance Partners. The Active House specifications define 9 parameters to be evaluated when designing an Active House.
